This is Dr C. Mohan. I completed my PhD in 2021 on "Assistive Technologies for Elderly and Physically Challenged People" in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Developed a robot cart for elderly people. It can work in two modes namely a) automatic following mode and b) automatic driving mode.
I have 19+ years of teaching experience in teaching of engineering and I am practising new innovative methods of teaching. I also have more than 6 years of industry experience in the field of maintenance of CNC machines, automation, servicing and calibration of instruments. In education, I use to teach a subject always with practical practice. So, I am good in basic signal conditioning circuit design for sensors, development of microcontroller-based circuits, development of PLC-based automation projects and understanding of robotics and electric vehicle engineering. I took a faculty member team in a robotics competition (eYantra-IITB) and won 2nd position in the regional level. A patent was filed and published in 2023 on a product “A DOOR ALERT SYSTEM” in 2022.
So, I am confident that I could train members with very good practical concepts. The learning person can be a student or a trainee engineer in an industry. I can manage electrical maintenance in automation industries. I am very interested to learn the latest technologies (programming and development) for research-based projects. One PhD student has been registered under me in this year and I am guiding him to research in Power Management Systems for Low Power Renewable Energy Systems.
Supported to students on projects at the national level and got around $1000 embedded system products for the department. In last year, one group of students won prize in Sharda University Hackathon event under my guidance. In addition to that I proposed seed fund projects in the university along with faculty members and got around $2000. The projects are on instrumentation and modern agriculture. I also mentor for two classes of students and guide them when they feel uncomfortable in their daily routine work or in their studies.
I also worked in different non-teaching works for administration purposes like time table coordinator (manual and automation), criteria coordinator for NBA & NAAC accreditation works, Green Energy Audit Member, I am also working on Peoplesoft Tools for students’ academic data handling. Overall in-charge for department’s laboratories, organizing team member for seminar and conferences, etc. In my college studies, I was in NCC of India Army Govt Wing.
I guided 5 M.Tech dissertations on embedded systems, industry automation and robotics. Every year, I use to guide atleast 2 B.Tech projects.
