I am an enthusiastic person who loves to spread knowledge. Since the age of 13, I had given private
tuitions to students belonging to various backgrounds and education systems for around 15 years.
During my MPhil, the passion of teaching led me to apply for the post of cooperative lecturer at
the department of Microbiology, Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology. I have
taught there for almost 1.5 years (three semesters) from January 2015 to June 2016. I was in-charge
of subjects like Fundamental Microbiology, Genetics, Soil Microbiology, and Immunology.
My focus had always been on the mental growth rather than forcing knowledge into the mind.
Therefore, I focused on discussion rather than delivering lectures in my subjects. I also arranged
short presentations for students that helped them to overcome their fear of speech and think out of
the box. During my tenure, I pioneered in the experiment of extraction of plant DNA using household items. My dedication was reflected in students’ excitement during my lectures.
Besides that, I have also worked as teacher assistant at the department of Microbiology, University
of Karachi for six months. I helped the teacher during labs and seminars in every way.
I have also helped my MPhil supervisor for his master students and their projects, write-up, and
