I am a qualified teacher and worked in schools with students with diverse backgrounds and abilities. My approach to teaching is constructive where the students experience learning hands-on. They collaborate and learn from each other. the learning is student-centered, and the students connect their prior knowledge to the new knowledge to construct meaning. Differentiated teaching is important because each student is on a different ability level or learns differently and allows for accommodation of the various learning styles. Scaffolding the learning process enables students to receive the concepts in manageable chunks and allows them to be successful by unpacking the concept step by step with guided assistance. The teacher identifies where the student needs assistance and designs a learning activity to provide the necessary support.
