Centre Manager/Lead Faculty Lagos Nigeria (Nov, 2012
–Jul, 2021) at CADD CENTER LAGOS NIGERIA
As the Centre Manager and Lead Faculty at the CADD Centre in Lagos, Nigeria, I successfully managed both the business and academic aspects of the centre, ensuring a seamless and enriching experience for our students. With a deep passion for education and a strong background in Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), I was committed to delivering high-quality training while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centre.
My Role and Responsibilities
Centre Management:
I managed the daily operations of the centre, including scheduling, resource allocation, and supervising a dedicated team. My role involved developing strategies to attract new students, retain current ones, and enhancing the centre's reputation in the local market. I was responsible for preparing and managing the centre’s budget, ensuring that financial targets were met and resources were used efficiently.
I ensured that our centre complied with all relevant regulations and reporting requirements, including accreditation standards. Building strong relationships with students, parents, and industry partners was a priority, and I worked hard to maintain high levels of satisfaction and engagement. I also led our marketing and outreach efforts, organizing workshops, seminars, and events to promote the centre's offerings.
Lead Faculty Responsibilities:
In addition to managing the centre, I actively developed, updated, and maintained our training curriculum to meet industry standards and student needs. I delivered high-quality instruction in CADD software, including AutoCAD, Revit, STAAD Pro, and other relevant programs.
I regularly assessed student progress through evaluations, projects, and feedback, offering guidance to help them achieve their goals. I mentored and supported other instructors, ensuring they were equipped to deliver effective training and stay updated with the latest industry trends. Overseeing the procurement and maintenance of educational materials, software, and equipment necessary for training was another key aspect of my role.
I spent a significant portion of my career teaching and training others, including managing and leading educational teams.
I was proficient in various CADD software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and STAAD Pro, and had developed strong leadership and team management skills. My ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively was instrumental in my success as an educator. Additionally, I had a strong understanding of business operations, including budgeting, marketing, and customer relations, which helped me manage the centre effectively.
My Approach
I was a proactive problem-solver, always looking for ways to improve the learning experience for our students and ensuring smooth operations at the centre. My passion for teaching drove me to continually seek new ways to engage and inspire students, helping them reach their full potential.
My Working Style
While my role required flexibility, including occasional travel and varying working hours to accommodate student schedules, I was fully committed to the success of the centre and our students.
Compensation
In return for my dedication, I received a competitive salary, performance-based incentives, and opportunities for professional development, along with health and wellness benefits.
