The way of teaching matters to others and particularly to students. I believe If teacher have strong communication with students it will be helpful for both sides. As for as understanding is concerned it is necessary for teacher to ask time and again about it. Feed back in back bone for learning. If students are giving strong feed back about the method of teaching of tutor, it means he is performing good job. To ask about understanding doesn't means to communicate after the lecture to students, it means to ask them time and again during the lecture.
