My experience includes teaching English Language and Literature to students of the Sri Lankan national syllabus, IGCSE EDEXCEL and Cambridge O-Level/ IGCSE. I have also researched and self-learned for the Cambridge English exams and passed the Cambridge (C2) Proficiency exam with an A grade.

I am adaptable and can customize lessons to individual student needs and can teach a range of syllabi for various English Language & Literature requirements including for International English Language tests (Cambridge English Assessment, PTE, IELTS).

My teaching approach, framework and lesson style is highly dependent on the student and what works and what doesn't is a system honed within the first few lessons to make sure every part of what is taught reaches my learner.

In terms of proven results, two students I tutored in the last year scored 9s for the EDEXCEL IGCSE (9-1) English Language A, and I have helped several students improve their writing and speaking skills in both physical and online classes.

My first lesson with any student is a "Get to Know Me" session where I learn about what my students want so that I cater to exactly what they need. This way both my students and I hit the ground running from the get-go!

    රු1,000–4,000/hour (US$3.42–13.66/hour)

    Dependent on whether session time is dominated by my teaching or by student working with my support.
    Transport charges for traveling long-distances will also contribute.
