Hi, my name is Tracey Stoute and I am a Senior Mathematics Lecturer with over 20 years of experience in the education sector, and I will like to apply for the role of your Online Math Tutor.

My roles and responsibilities have consistently evolved over the years and now my core skills lies in the areas of:
Online teaching;
Developing accredited syllabi for the Math department;
Providing support and guidance to students and fellow faculty;
And of course, teaching online classes of up to 30 individuals every trimester and closely monitoring their progress.

I presently lecture the following courses:
Calculus, Pre- Calculus, Mathematical Mehods, Statistics, Finite Math, Algebra, Dosage Mathematics and Remedial Math.

A typical online session would last 1 hour. I would have my lesson prepared and uploaded into Moodle before hand and log into the online platforms at least 10 minutes, before the start of each class. A couple minutes before start, I will start letting the students enter and begin dialogue. Usually they ask questions about previous topics or we engage in casual conversation.
When the class starts I introduce myself and ask if there are any topics from the previous class that they need to be revisited and then I move onto the next topic. I also stay connected with my students via Google Chat to receive faster feedback as I am teaching and I reinforce topics during and at the end of each class to ensure that the topic is understood.

This approach allows me to connect with students and has brought me the most success in my career, because as I gain credibility, the rapport and trust soon follow. I believe that this is the reason that my classes have the highest pass rate in the faculty.

    TT$100/hour (US$14.73/hour)

    If I travel to a home for a one on one session I charge more.
    For more Advanced Math I charge more.
