As a student in university myself, as well as a highschool graduate, over the years of being involved in the field of education both as a teacher and as a student I have realized how imperative it is that when one is taught something, they are taught with genuine passion and patience. Learning is a principle that will forever go both ways, so it is key that whatever I am teaching my student, I have fully grasped the contents of it myself as well, in order to incorporate various teaching styles that may further aid my student however we both deem fit. Learning is often deemed boring, and if not taught with interest as a teacher myself, or with absolute patience to match my student's learning pace, often times it is found to soil or disinterest the learning party, as a reflection of the teacher party.

I have genuinely loved reading and writing ever since I was a child, carrying heaps of books to school and spending hours in the school library after school, devouring book after book as I wrote little stories and novels of my own. Even to this day, I cannot resist the urge of getting lost in a good book from time to time, and with the advance in technology I now make learning possible covering various topics such as the human anatomy, biology, cognitive psychology, astronomy, etc through youtube and documentaries elsewhere.

For me, I have learnt that the best way to learn something, be it if I'm teaching myself or someone else, is through both visual, auditory and written explanations. For example, when learning biology, I always look for relevant videos on the topic be it cellular functions or nerve signal pathways to look for a clear visual picture of the process in question, just like a movie. Afterwards I would narrate the explanation, of my own verbal understanding in my terms, as well as construct written notes using various different sources and cites to grasp the full understanding of the topic at hand. The written notes then help me revise and go over what I have understood later on as I prepare for tests or exams. As this is how I teach myself, this is also how I opt to teach my students and thankfully over the course of my teaching experience, all of my students have always scored straight As (90% and above).
