I used to teach acoustic guitar with various chords and plucking for beginners. Learning pattern are given below:
1. Basic Guitar Anatomy- Understanding of different parts of guitar
2. Holding the Guitar-Proper posture and hand positioning
3. Tuning of Guitar - Learn how to tune the guitar and different tuning method
4. Basic Music Theory - understanding notes, scales, intervals and chords
5. Chords and Strumming Patterns - Major and Minor Strumming patterns and common Strumming patterns
6. Finger Picking techniques - Basic finger style patterns and excercises.
7. Scales - Major and Minor Scales Pantronic Scale and how to practice them.
8. Playing melody lines - Learning how to read standard notation and tabulature.
9. Song Repertoire - Learn and play simple songs
10. Improvisation techniques - Basic concepts of improvising using scales and chords
11. Reading Music - Learn how to read guitar tabs and sheet music.
12. Basic Guitar Maintenance - understanding of how to care for your guitar, including changing and cleaning of strings.
13. Rhythm and Timing - using a metronome and uderstanding beats and measures.
14. Advance training for later levels - Hammer ons, Pull off, Slides and harmonics.
Available slots for classes are 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
