I provide personalized support to students facing barriers to learning, patrol the school to uphold high behaviour standards, and implement procedures for managing challenging behaviours. I organize parent meetings, manage year team tutors and pastoral support managers, and collaborate with the inclusion team and external agencies to support student welfare. Additionally, I work with staff to improve attendance and punctuality, oversee behaviour, attendance, and safeguarding initiatives, and take the lead in safeguarding efforts within my phase. Contributed as a key member of the wider senior leadership team to a "good" Ofsted rating across all areas for the first time in 20 years. Overseeing a year group, focusing on behaviour and attendance, while providing individualized support to students facing learning barriers. I regularly patrol the school to maintain high behaviour standards and ensure procedures are in place for handling challenging situations. Additionally, I lead and support parent meetings, manage and develop year team tutors and pastoral support managers, and collaborate with the inclusion team and external agencies to enhance behaviour management. Working closely with staff, I also strive to improve attendance and punctuality across the board
Secondary School (Jan, 2015–Oct, 2018) at Grange Technology College, Bradford
I undertook various responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the school environment and support student welfare. This includes conducting morning checks to ensure students are equipped and dressed appropriately for the day ahead. I remained available throughout the day, attending sessions and being on-call to address any emergent needs. Additionally, I provided daily reports for key students from Year 8 and handle incidents from all year groups, ranging from minor to major issues. I supervised isolation areas and patrol the school premises, maintaining high standards of behaviour and conducting learning walks to monitor classroom engagement. Collaboration with staff is crucial, as we work together to develop and implement strategies for managing challenging student behaviour. During lesson changeovers, I ensured all students transition safely and promptly. After school, I supervised detention sessions and continue to guide and enforce procedures for handling challenging situations.
