I teach Indian Classical music on Sitar from very basic level to intermediate level. I can explain everything in English, Hindi and Gujarati languages. Simple to complex is my way of teaching. Students need not have any previous knowledge. Their willingness is enough for learning. I focus more on practical aspect of music instead of teaching theory only. Using theoretical base, I encourage students to be creative in music because music is not about remembering facts and details but creating musical compositions as per their emotions using their knowledge of music. So theory base help them make creative in doing their assignment task. Again assignments should not remain on pages on the book but it should come from the heart and mind both to hands on Instrument. That's my belief about playing Indian Classical Music. I train students following the above ideology and this is included in my teaching style. Depending on the progress of the learner I design next tasks. So task for all individuals may vary as every individual is unique and that's why every individual require different treatment and learning resources including input in the form of teaching content and assignment tasks.
