I teach English, English Literature as mentioned.I would love to call myself a writer. In Edgar Allan Poe's words, I love to make my pen bleed; write in a language that can make people see and feel.

I consider teaching as an opportunity to help an individual find their voice. Especially, when the subject you teach is English Literature - a subject that nurtures emotional intelligence; a subject that allows one to open up and be accepting of the world. With Literature one grows to see the world in many layers and thus learns to accept the reality, yet perceive it critically. Imagine being the gatekeeper of such a discipline. That is how I see my profession as a teacher.

As a facilitator, I strongly believe, that I pave the path. I teach the learner the skills; equip them with tools. Learning is beyond a set of books.

As an educator, I want to create an unforgivingly brave thinker in my student; a humanitarian; a visionary - most of all instill the love to learn and continue to do so. I can say confidently, when this happens, a teacher has succeeded in moulding the little human being.

I am a confident writer who can be expressive and dramatic, sophisticated and academic, persuasive or absolutely light hearted and crazy. My pen speaks according to the voice and genre and so does my effective teaching skills!
