Hello! My name is Jahowa Islam, and I am dedicated to guiding students on their journey to academic and professional success. Based in vibrant New York, USA, I am deeply committed to assisting individuals in reaching their educational and skill development objectives.
With a strong academic background in chemistry, including a bachelor’s and master’s degree, and a Ph.D. in Advanced Energy and System Engineering, I am confident in my ability to contribute positively to support students in their academic journey.
As a post-doctoral researcher, I have mentored graduate students and supervised internships, providing guidance in both research and professional development. My experience as a Lecturer includes teaching courses in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Environmental Chemistry. I am also highly skilled in analyzing electrochemical and materials characterization data, including techniques such as current-voltage (IV), LSV, CV, TEM, SEM, TGA, XRD, and XPS. With a strong background in both teaching and research, I am well-equipped to contribute to academic and scientific endeavors.
I am passionate about creating an inclusive learning environment and am excited about the opportunity to teach courses like General Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Material Science, Environmental Chemistry, Physical chemistry, Electrochemistry, and Organic chemistry..
