Sana TauqeerPsychologist (clinical psychology, research method
No reviews yet
I am a Clinical Psychologist with a Masters and currently a Doctoral Scholar working on Psychological Preventive Interventions. In my doctoral research I am working on experimental trials of enhancing effective parent-child interactions. My research project also involves designing and conducting systematic review and metanalysis. I am actively working with local communities for their engagement in this therapy implementation program. I have had a years’ experience of working with Global Challenges Research Fund, an initiative by United Kingdom Research Initiate, where I worked as a research associate for Gender and Feminization of Social Spaces in Pakistan and Afghanistan. As part of my work, I designed the research for exploring the effects of gendered social spaces on female immigrants. I was required to conduct systematic reviews and write reports to be incorporated into the global reports on Female Migrants. This allowed me to learn how to comb large chunks of knowledge and screen the relevant information. The level of comprehension and integration of literature I learnt has helped me in becoming an efficient researcher. I have worked as research lead on nationwide qualitative research on COVID and its impacts on well-being conducted by a public university. I am affluent with transcribing and coding of qualitative data. Throughout my recent systematic review tasks, I learnt how to use R and STATA and Kobo Toolbox software’s. I have written reports and articles for qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods studies as well as editorials for my university journal. I have also worked in my research capacity with cancer survivors and their psychosocial functioning post recovery. I have been working as a teacher of Psychology and its applications for three years now to both psychology graduates and to undergrads of Natural Sciences. This has benefitted me a lot in understanding how to adapt my language and communication for audience literacy. For writing and literature development choosing audience friendly language is crucial. I have been a researcher for four years now. Psychology and its applications and implications have been my passion. I do believe I can bring a perspective to this challenge which can be insightful and based not just on literature but also from clinic and community as well. For further credential details I would request you to review my resume. Looking forward to working with a creative team and learning what the field has best to offer. Take Care
