I am a passionate, professionally-trained and licensed Science Teacher (the National Teaching Council) equipped with the apt skill set to teach, manoeuvre and solve pertinent issues teachers in this profession face daily. I am also endowed with the skill of blending the various instructional models – the behaviourist instructional model, the cognitivism instructional model and the constructivist instructional model. I subscribe to the latter model – I believe students learn best when the role of the teacher in the instructional process is not traditional (spoon-feeding the students) but rather seen as a facilitator who provides the required instructional resources, guides the students throughout the instructional process and help them link their prerequisite knowledge to new and novel instructional concepts and also help them relate instructional concepts to their real-life events to enable them to construct meaning from it and also achieve the instructional objectives. I also believe in incorporating teaching and learning materials like videos, photographs, models, and whatnot into the instructional process to help students construct meaning for themselves. Due to the nature and scope of the Syllabus and Curriculum, these outlines above are not always feasible. I am trained and equipped with the skill set to switch in-between and blend the various instructional models to suit the current situation at hand and also meet the diverse instructional needs of the learners. I am also afforded an impressive teaching experience in the teaching profession. I was a Teaching Assistant at the University of Cape Coast for two consecutive academic years therein, due to my skill set, agility, ingenuity, smartness, and profound intellect, I was made to assist three different lecturers simultaneously. Wherein, I taught and tutored students in various courses like Logic, Critical Thinking and a few more. I administered quizzes, evaluations, and grades to students following these instructional procedures.es. I was also an interim Biology teacher at Juaben Senior High School. I taught and examined Form Two Science and Home Science during that period. I am trained to ascertain students’ instructional needs and conjure up practical solutions to meet those needs. Owing to my ingenuity, I can manoeuvre through turbulent conditions and still reach my set goals. I have a great sense of improvisation – devise a working solution to a task if the original solution is not available. Also. I have spectacular mastery over the English Language which affords me with good communication skills and I have the habit of passing it on to my students and colleague teachers.
