Robert JacksonBusiness English Teacher
No reviews yet
Passionate and experienced TEFL educator with over 20 years of international teaching experience, specialising in business English for adult learners. My teaching journey began unexpectedly in 1997, following a working holiday in Australia, when I discovered a profound enthusiasm for education while teaching at a renowned American English school in Jakarta, despite initially lacking formal qualifications. This pivotal experience led me to obtain my CELTA qualification in 2002.
Throughout my career, I have alternated between teaching and working in the travel industry, gaining diverse perspectives and skills that have enriched my approach to education. However, my passion for teaching has always drawn me back to the classroom, and I am now fully committed to dedicating the rest of my career to education.
I have taught English in various contexts, including participating in three summer schools in the UK, where I engaged with younger students from diverse regions, such as the Middle East and Europe. My extensive experience allows me to connect effectively with students from a wide range of backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
With dual British and Dutch nationality and having lived in Poland for the past two decades, I bring a rich blend of cultural and linguistic insights to my teaching. I am skilled in using Moodle to design and implement engaging, tailored online learning activities, and am known for my approachability and empathy.
I am eager to contribute my expertise to an institution or individual that values innovative teaching practices.
