Pedagogy: Most other test prep products focus on the "how", and bombard students with thousands of practice questions and explanations. While practice is helpful to an extent (and plays a crucial role in any good program), it is my view that excessive practice kills problem-solving skills. Students are not taught to "reason" from the ground-up, they are instead trained to retrofit existing solutions. This is mechanical work, and GenAI products like ChatGPT and Google Bard are already good at it.

In contrast, my sessions are conversational and exploratory. I focus on teaching our students how to think and evaluate their work, and rarely "instruct" students on what to think. While I cover test-specific strategies and tactics as needed, my students primarily rely on mastery of fundamentals and critical thinking to solve problems. My approach delivers results that rival those of other expensive programs.

Results: On average, my SAT students increase their SAT math score by 140+ points, my ACT students increase their ACT math and science sectional scores by 7+ points each, and almost all my AP students receive a 4 or 5 on their APs, which often qualifies them for college credit. Students who work with me for math courses typically start at around 70%, and start scoring 90%+ with regular sessions.

Some of my students have graduated from high school, and are now attending excellent institutions such as Stanford University, University of California, State University of New York, and Imperial College London.

About me: I have worked with 50+ students over my career, which amounts to 2,000+ hours of one-on-one tutoring. Over time, I have continually refined my methods, resulting in industry-leading score improvements for my students.

I have scored the highest possible scores on every test that I teach for (or on equivalent/harder tests). Here's a list of my scores:

SAT Math: 800/800
AP Calculus BC, AB subscore: 5/5
AP Physics 1, Physics 2, Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism: 5/5

I have also received a few academic awards based on exams that test similar concepts but present more challenging questions:

KVPY Fellow - All India Rank 102
‍The KVPY Program is initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. This fellowship attracts the top 0.5% of students pursuing a research career in the pure sciences. It consists of an aptitude test and an interview.

NTSE Scholar - Top 0.25%
The NTSE program is funded by the National Council of Educational Research and Training, India. The test aims to identify and nurture talented students at the 10th and 11th grade level.
