.ACADEMIC ENGLISH TUTOR

INTRODUCTION
I‘ve been an Academic co-ordinator / teacher for almost 10 years’. I had the opportunity working with various boards( ICSE, CBSE, STATEBOARD) with a heterogeneous group of students enabling me to become a Student-focused English teacher / tutor helping students develop English language study skills( LSRW-Listening, speaking, reading and writing)..I’ve been teaching and tutoring academic English to students from the primary to higher secondary school. . I am dedicated to enriching students’ lives through group and one-on-one tutoring, coaching, and mentoring. Patient and friendly approach in communicating with the children.

Started as a primary school teacher, I was gradually promoted to high school and higher secondary school.Later I was promoted as the Academic Co-ordinator.
While working in schools I had the opportunity to educate special needs children.
I have experience tutoring (in-house) children from grade 1 – 10.
TEACHING STYLE & METHODOLOGY
DIRECT METHOD – Tell students what to do
• Impart information to the students via lectures, assigned readings, audio/visual presentations, recitation and repetition, demonstrations, role playing, and other means.
DISCUSSION METHOD – Ask questions & listen
• Promote learning through interaction, encourage critical thinking and lively discussion by asking students to respond to challenging questions.
DELEGATE METHOD – Empower to work independently
• promote learning through empowerment, assigns tasks and facilitate students to work on independently.
