Being an IIT'ian, I know very well how to crack IIT=JEE.
I explain the basics & fundamentals first, then teach students to apply these while solving problems. There are no. of ways to solve maths problems. I tell many methods to make the concepts very clear to student. After that I tell the differences of methods adopted. Then student understand himself that which one is the short method, which one involves the tricks. Doing a problems with different methods, generate confidence in students and the previous chapters that he has studied also gets revised.
