Given my active involvement in the school during my time in school, I was thrilled to utilise some of that training as a curriculum. However, my reasons for becoming a teacher are quite straightforward. As a teacher, I have the privilege to change lives—not one, but a significant number. As a teacher, my role is not just limited to being a mentor. I get to be a mediator, learner, collaborator, writer, translator, speaker all within the same profession. It is an extraordinary role.
