I am a Physical Therapist by profession with a keen interest in academia. I have been teaching students of DPT and other allied health sciences for 2 years now. My areas of interest include anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology, neuroanatomy and neurorehabilitation. I also have a passion for musculoskeletal rehabilitation with focus on therapeutic exercises. I have tried to model my teaching on the basis of latest research in higher education which focuses on interactive learning. I always try to relate a theoretical topic with real world clinical scenarios which makes learning highly effective and easy to understand. As physical therapy is a highly skilled profession and involves application of theoretical knowledge to patients, this style of learning and teaching is more effective than traditional passive learning in my opinion. This style of learning is usually well received and praised by students as evidenced by their feedback to my teaching method. Additionally, I always value student opinions and questions and I learn a lot from their thinking on a specific topic.
