Karthik Krishna started learning from his Guruji Pandith Rajgopal Kallurkar in the year 2004. Karthik was under the tutelage of Maestro Pandith Subhankar Banerjee for traditional system of illustrious Farookabad Gharana Tabla the in Kolkata.
Fascinated by Carnatic system of calculations, development, tonality, structuring and the complexity he started learning the Carnatic system of calculations and adaptability of tabla playing to Carnatic music from the Mridangam maestro Vidwan K. U. Jayachandra Rao in the year 2011.
Karthik has been directly awarded “B-High” grade by the All India Radio Bangalore for Hindushtani Classical Music – Tabla in the year 2018. Known for his Left Right balance and sense of accompaniment Karthik has been performing with many legendary musicians from many genres across the country.
Karthik has been training students in Bangalore and outside Bangalore many of them have been concert artists and have excelled in the Tabla Examinations conducted by various Universities across India
