With over 40 years of experience in Industry and academia, conducting & guiding research, and project management, I'm confident I can deliver high-quality online lectures/tutoring to support students.

During my 21-year stint in Academia, I've honed my skills in lecture delivery, scientific writing, and research guidance and mentoring. Experience

  • Professor (Aug, 2013–Present) at Department of Mechatronics, Air University, Islamabad, Pakistan.
    Duties entail teaching engineering courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervising undergraduate final year projects and MS & Ph.D. research/thesis work, and Department Academic Coordination. During this period, I have also worked on various National and University level committees, including:
    HEC Universities Ranking Committee (Jan 2015 – Jan 2016): As Convener HEC Universities Ranking Committee, helped develop ranking KPIs.
    HEC’s Smart Universities Initiative Committee (Apr 2016 – Dec 2016): HEC notified a ‘Concept Review Committee to review the proposed program and the related PC-1 valued at PKR 4 billion. As a member of the committee, helped HEC roll out a major initiative, upgrading the classrooms with ICT systems and transforming them into Smart Classrooms – leading to Smart Universities. Technology enhancement in the classroom was to achieve more interactive and collaborative learning.
    HEC’s Open and Distance Learning (ODL) Policy Committee (Mar 2017 – Dec 2017): As Member HEC Online/Open Distance Learning Committee, helped formulate a comprehensive ODL Policy for HEC. The committee to develop a policy framework, regulations, and implementation strategy for HEIs to launch ODL programs. The scope of the document is to provide broad policy provisions to all institutions relying on ODL and ICT-based learning. This policy is envisioned to drive HEIs to develop new distance learning programs through ODL mode in compliance with the given provisions.
    Member University Online Learning Management Committee carried out detailed survey, deployment, and Analysis of various Learning Management Systems (LMS), including “Moodle.”
    Department Academic Coordination Officer (2014 onwards) developing Mechatronics Engineering curriculum for Bachelor’s, MS, and Ph.D. programs.
    Supervising several MS/Ph.D. students in Smart & Intelligent Energy Management Systems.
  • Commandant and Professor & Chair of Aerospace Engineering Department (CAE). (Jun, 2005–Jul, 2009) at (Nust)National University of Science and Technology Islamabad
    Duties entailed Academic management, supervision of faculty, implementation of course syllabi, teaching Aerospace Engineering courses, and management and supervision of final-year student projects. Research projects supervised included the Study, analysis, and re-design of Wind Turbines for more efficient Power generation in Pakistan’s environment.
    Duties also entailed heading, managing, and administrating all activities of the College, including, Management of Academic, Research Projects, and extra-curricular activities. Academic policy and curriculum formulation. Managing Faculty Board meetings for assessing relegation, suspension, and withdrawal cases. Member University Academic Council and attending Executive Council meetings. Managing Academic Database Integrity and Processing of transcripts and degrees. Member of Discipline Committee for deciding student discipline cases. Hiring and supervision of faculty and placement of private students. Finance and resource management. Planning and supervising academic-related ceremonies such as Graduations, Seminars, and International Conferences, etc.
