I am a homeschooling mum of three girls. Prior to full time homeschooling, I ran a business called Blooms Tutors. For 6 years the business ran very successfully employing over 40 tutors throughout Brisbane and Ipswich, and a couple on the Gold and Sunshine coasts.

I personally tutored for over 12 years in 2 countries, Australia and South Africa. The business was eventually sold to a Japanese investor when I moved full time into homeschooling and sadly is no longer in operation.

I have tutored at least 100 students across every grade from prep through to year 12 within the Queensland system, from both state and private schools and am familiar with a large number of schools in the west Brisbane and Ipswich regions. Over 6000 hours of teaching experience. I also have experience tutoring accounting and business subjects at the tertiary level. I have a Bachelor of Commerce and an Honours degree in Accounting.

I love teaching, and especially a one-on-one approach helping students overcome challenging topics and negative beliefs about their ability to learn and understand. My approach is very flexible and I try to fit in with each student’s unique needs. Many of my past students have stayed with me for their full high school term having weekly sessions through to the end of year 12.

All sessions held online via Zoom, country wide.

    I was the owner of a private tutoring company in Queensland for +- 6 years which contracted over 40 tutors to students in Brisbane, Ipswich and Logan areas. I ran the administration and advertising of the business while also tutoring my own students. I have over 6000 hours of tutoring experience over approximately 12 years of private tutoring.
  • Auditing clerk (Jan, 2006–Dec, 2008) at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC)
    I worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers while completing my articles to qualify as a chartered accountant, which I did in 2008. My role was within auditing teams to audit processes and procedures as well as annual financial statements of companies. I worked in the division which was responsible for the studio of banks and financial services companies and had experience with some of the major banks and private medical providers in the country.
