Pandit Chandra Nath Shastri, was born in 1948 in Kolkata, India. Born into a Brahmin family steeped in music, his artistic journey began even before his first breath. His grandmother, Smt. Indira Devi, was a niece of the legendary poet Rabindranath Tagore, and his father, Dr. Mouli Nath Shastri, was a physician who also harbored a deep passion for music. A vocalist trained under Tagore himself and a Tabla player, Dr. Shastri became Chandra Nath's first guru, along with his elder brother. The young Chandra Nath blossomed under their tutelage, his talent for the Tabla evident from a young age.The family's subsequent move to Varanasi, the heart of the Banaras Gharana style, further shaped Shastri's musical journey.
At age 5 Shastri began learning from his guruji, Pandit Anokhelal Mishra of Banaras, and later from his son, Pandit Ramji Mishra. His exceptional talent was evident early on, culminating in a victory at a national All India Radio competition at the young age of 23. This prestigious win not only established his prowess but also earned him the title of "Pandit."

For Intermediate: He will teach the students simple, common Taals . Along with those he will teach Kayda, Gat, Palta, Tehai, Uthan, Rela, Peshkar, Paran, etc.
For Advance learners: He will teach uncommon and complex Taals and unique Kaydas, Tehais, Relas, Parans, etc.

If any student wants to learn Khol, he can also teach them Khol.
