I teach/assist my students based on their skills. We can go slow or fast memorizing depend on your capacity. The important thing is, you can understand and every verse of the Quran stay in your mind for a long time.
I have my own notes for every students I taught. It can help us to point out if there is any development or any decrease. And it also help me to decide how the teaching methods will do for each of them, because every person have their own characters.
The most thing to point out is, I can't do everything without Allah's help. So there is no succession without the help of Him. Keep trying and praying to Allah to ease every step of our learnings.
