Myself Dr. Debalina Das, am a Ph. D. in Botany, I have 6 years of teaching experience at college level, more than 12 years of private teaching 3 year course Botany Honours (offline). I was a rank holder (4th position) in B. Sc. (Botany honours) in University of Calcutta.
Besides teaching the whole curriculum of Botany Honours, my style of teaching includes to principally grow student's interest in the subject Botany, usually recommend books and give notes of the individual chapter concern. I usually teach the way how to represent answers during examination, how to illustrate answers with suitable diagrams and examples, I teach the time-management for completion of the whole examination paper, usually take mock tests prior to any vital examination, although I usually prefer to take small tests on completion of individual modules of the curriculum and prefer time-bound answering for the different categories of questions (1 mark, 2 marks, 5 marks or more than that). Lastly, I believe in solving previous years' question papers of the University of Calcutta for best results of an individual student. My job is to make you love botany first and I believe that if my teaching style and pattern is combined with a student's sincere effort and hard work, success will be at his or her's feet...

    I am presently working as a visiting faculty or guest faculty at the Post- Graduate department of Botany, Serampore college where I teach Plant Biotechnology (theory) in 4th semester as the course curriculum.

    Previously, I had taken both theory and practical class on basics and applied of Plant Biotechnology at the Post- graduate level at Jogamaya Devi college (PG Department )

    I had taken class on Fungi, plant geography, plant pathology, Palaeobotany and Palynology, Biometry and genetics at the Undergraduate level in different colleges as mentioned (Vivekananda college for Women, Jogamaya Devi College).

    I had also given private tutions to Botany Honours students for the whole 3 years degree course. The students belonged to Vivekananda college for Women and Vivekananda college, Thakurpukur.

Fee details

    ₹1,000–1,500/month (US$11.89–17.84/month)

    At Undergraduate Honours level (Botany), I would charge Rs.1500 per month for taking 4 classes of 2-2.5 hours duration each.
    At the school level (class 11 and 12), I would charge Rs. 1000 per month for teaching Biology, taking 1 class per week
