I have learnt Indian Classical Music in Guru Shishya parampara for over 15 years and I have been teaching in the same style for past 11 years.
Main focus is on Hindustani Classical Vocals - Khayal Gayan Shaili.

Apart from that I guide students for singing Semi Classical, Ghazal, Thumri, Bhajan, Bollywood Music, etc.
Raag, Taal, Alaap, Taan, Akaar, Gamak, Meend and other elements of music are taught over time depending on capability and dedication of the learner.

Indian Classical Music is one of the most systematic, sophisticated and intricate music designs that's ever been developed, through ages of research and discoveries of musical geniuses of their age.

The technical aspect of Indian Classical Music, let's one learn a really flexible language of notes, that can make studying any kind of musical form or instrument much easier. It focuses on Voice culture, nurturing your voice, sweetening it's effects and providing command over notes, powerful vocal strength and surprising results realising one's own music potential, in just a few months. Though fully releasing and mastering this art form takes time.

The aesthetic aspect deals more with meditative effects, focussing on emotional and expressive part of music. Various elements of Indian Classical Music not only allows one to connect to their inner peace, but let's other feel the same, such is power of language of notes.

Important features of Indian Classical Music are as follows:

• Raag - raags in their basic form, are themselves personification of feelings. They are base of all of the emotions, present in every musical piece that one can feel, enjoy, or connect to.

• alapchari - this is an elaborate knitting of notes, with perfect balance of permutations and expressions

• kan, khatka, laag, meend - these are various elements used to create an intricate network in between notes. It is the detailed ornamentation within the notes.

• taal, laya, chhand, matra - the learning of rhythmic systems in Indian Classical Music. This involves study from the basic unit of taal i.e., matra (beat), to their various combinations and the way they sway or roll.

• bandish - when literature is beautiful woven into taal, matra, chhand, raag, and into notes, that leads to the creation of a bandish of any particular classical genre.
