Urdu and Islamiyat teacher is responsible for providing students with high quality education in Urdu and Islamic studies, depending upon the academic level of the learner. The core responsibility of tutor is development and implement effective curriculum, monitor student progress, maintaining a positive learning environment, and foster students’ understanding and appreciation of Urdu and Islamic principles.
Responsibilities:
• Curriculum Development:
How to develop a comprehensive curriculum and then it’s implementation with curriculum standards for Urdu and Islamic Studies.
Selection of appropriate instructional materials, resources, and assessments to support learning objectives.
Continue to update the curriculum to reflect best practices and academic achievements in Urdu language and teaching Islamic studies.
• Instruction
Providing and engaging interactive learning about learning style and abilities.
Use a variety of instructional methods, including lectures, group discussions, aviads and multimedia presentations, and hands-on activities.
Integrate technology with authentic information to enhance the learning experience.
• Research and Analysis:
Use a variety of methods to assess student learning including quizzes, tests, projects, feedback, and classroom participation.
Provide relevant and constructive feedback on student progress and areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic achievement.
Classroom structure:
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and respectful discourse.
Set clear expectations for behavior and academic performance, and enforce classroom rules at all times.
Address student discipline issues with compassion and fairness, and support school policies.
• Parent-Successor Communication:
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students’ academic progress, behavior, and any concerns.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and other stakeholders to support holistic student achievement.
Attend parent-teacher meetings, school meetings, and professional development activities as needed.
• Performance Improvement:
Stay abreast of developments in Urdu language and Islamic studies teaching methods, and educational research.
Participate in professional development opportunities, workshops and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Engage in self-reflection and ask for feedback to further improve teaching practices.
• Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Urdu Language, Islamic Studies, Education, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Demonstrates appropriate certification or licensure level and topic.
Fluency in written and spoken Urdu.
Deep understanding of Islamic principles, values and teachings.
Experience teaching Urdu and/or Islamic Studies at relevant academic level.
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to differentiate and adapt instruction for learning needs.
Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and enhancing cultural understanding.
• Working Conditions:
Usually, it works in the classroom in a school or educational institution.
Hours may be needed for school meetings, conferences, professional development or occasional evenings or weekends.
Regular communication with students, parents, colleagues and administrators.
