I am a Biology teacher who seeks to use various teaching methods to be able to help the students address their learning concerns. This could involve adapting my methods to how the learner responds to concepts, quizzes and concerns as we progress in our journey.
I am aware that it is not only a one man show, and thus feedback from the student and caregivers is always welcome for us to help each other achieve the main goal of winning together in helping the students performance.
I wish to work with you and help you reach your goals and grow with each step of the way.

Experience

  • Drawing Instructor (Jul, 2023–Present) at Self-employed Drawing Instructor
    As a drawing instructor, I was responsible to create proper lessons plans after assessing the student. These plans were made to the specification of needs and goals the learner had in their journey of the discipline.

    It involved managing aspects of business which gave me insight on how to run and manage a business.
    On the education side, it involves having the right tools, adequate information for learners and being able to assess and test their progress. The learners often also needed encouragement to push through tough time which needed guidance and such like.
  • Volunteer Rugby Coach (Jun, 2022–Sep, 2022) at St. Mary's school, Nairobi
    As a rugby coach I was responsible for assessing high school rugby players, and creating proper programmes to address their performance needs. Through this experience, it added a lot of transferable skills that help in being able to mentor and guide students in disciplines such as being able to understand every learners needs and address their needs by being patient, motivating and ensuring enough challenge to help them grow at their pace, helping them through matters in their life that could be affecting their performance and also encouraging them to overcome difficulties they struggle with in their studies. Personally I helped me learn as a teacher i should always be open to various ways in which learning can be approached as well as ensuring I am up to date in terms of my teaching methods.
