I am writing to express my interest in the position of English teacher for the
International Baccalaureate (IB) programme at your school. I have a Master’s degree
in English Language and Literature from Manchester University/ England . I have over
25 years of experience teaching English at various levels, including IB Diploma
Programme (DP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP).
I have successfully implemented the IB curriculum and assessment criteria in my
previous schools, using inquiry-based, interdisciplinary, and differentiated methods
to engage and challenge my students. I have also participated in various
professional development activities, such as workshops, webinars, online courses,
and peer observations, to keep myself updated with the latest IB developments and
best practices.
I am an English Teacher not only in IB section but in Swiss Maturity, French Bac,
ESL, CFC . I am qualified in all diploma programmes as well as English Exam
preparations.
As an English teacher, I aim to foster the development of my students’
communication skills, critical thinking skills, intercultural awareness, and personal
identity. I use a variety of texts, media, and genres to expose my students to different
perspectives and cultures. I also encourage my students to express their opinions,
ideas, and creativity through oral presentations, written assignments, projects, and
portfolios. I provide constructive feedback and guidance to help my students
improve their skills and achieve their goals. I also collaborate with other teachers
and coordinators to plan and deliver coherent and cohesive units of work that align
with the IB standards and objectives.
