My name is Major Macharia Kamau. I am a professional Mathematics tutor from Nairobi Kenya. I have been teaching Mathematics for 4 years now. Online and offline. My students are usually from Grade 3 to Secondary level. My teaching style is very personalized. I first start by learning the problem areas that the student is having and go step by step through that topic until they feel comfortable with it. At the end of every lesson, I give assignments to be done by the student, and in the next lesson, we go through the assignment together. At the end of every topic, I issue a continuous assessment test that helps my students to know how far they have gone in understanding the topic. What makes me stand out as a great educator is my empathy and patience. I take my time to understand the strengths and weaknesses of my learners before starting the tutorials. I also ask them about their personal lives so as to better understand them and how I can help not only as a tutor but also as a parent.
