–Present) at Peoples Primary Healthcare Initiative Balochistan
Project Brief:
Support for EPI / Dispensaries in Balochistan - to rapidly boost polio immunity in children in polio high-risk areas of Balochistan through the running of 23 vaccination facilities/dispensaries in areas where these services are not currently available.
Role:
As the Health Project Lead funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, I directed a comprehensive healthcare initiative spanning Routine Immunization (RI), Outpatient Department (OPD), and Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) services across 05 districts of Balochistan. My role involved strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, budget management, and monitoring to ensure effective implementation and positive health outcomes.
• Coordinated comprehensive healthcare programs across five districts, with a focus on routine immunization, Outpatient Department (OPD), and Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) initiatives.
• Developed and implemented strategic plans and action plans to achieve program goals, ensuring alignment with national health policies and guidelines.
• Facilitated partnerships and collaborations with government health departments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and community stakeholders to enhance program reach and effectiveness.
• Led program planning, including the identification of target populations, resource allocation, and budget management, to ensure efficient and effective program implementation.
• Led budget planning and resource allocation processes, including budgeting with donors, ensuring optimal utilization of funds and adherence to donor guidelines.
• Provided mentorship, guidance, and supervision to program staff, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability within the program team.
• Managed program logistics, including procurement of medical supplies, equipment, and vaccines, to support program activities and ensure the availability of essential resources.
• Conducted regular monitoring and evaluation activities to assess program performance, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with program objectives and targets.
• Provided leadership and supervision to program staff, including healthcare workers, community health workers, and support staff, to ensure adherence to program protocols and standards.
• Prepared and presented program reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate program progress, achievements, and challenges to stakeholders, donors, and senior management.
