Head of teachers and Teacher (Sep, 2017
–Sep, 2022) at Jeanne D'Arc Tunisia
I taught Arabic, Sciences, and math in Jeanne d'Arc prelacy primary school.
During these five years of experience, I taught second and third grades with a Napoleonic curriculum approved by the Ministry of Education and compatible with the British curriculum.
As a math and sciences head teacher I had the following responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: I designed and developed science and math curriculum for different grade levels, ensuring alignment with educational standards and learning objectives. I identified and incorporated relevant resources, textbooks, and teaching materials to enhance the curriculum.
Instruction and Teaching: I delivered engaging and effective science and math lessons to pupils, utilizing instructional techniques and resources such as making each lesson PowerPoint slides with funny pictures and cheerful stories.
I demonstrated expertise in teaching various science subjects, such
as biology, chemistry, and physics.
I differentiated instruction to cater to the diverse learning needs of pupils.
Team Leadership: I provide leadership and guidance to science and math teachers. I collaborated with other science teachers to plan and coordinate teaching strategies, assessments, and pupil support. I conducted regular meetings to discuss curriculum updates, pupils progress, and instructional
practices.
Assessment and Evaluation: I developed and implemented science assessments to measure pupils' progress and achievement. I monitored and analyzed pupils' performance data, providing constructive feedback to teachers and implementing interventions as needed.
Collaboration and Communication: I fostered effective communication and collaboration among science and math teachers, pupils, parents, and school administration. I established regular channels for sharing information, discussing student progress, and addressing concerns.
I participated in parent-teacher conferences and engaged with parents regarding their child's
education.
Curriculum Mapping and Evaluation: I Continuously reviewed and updated the science and math curriculum, and took into account new developments in scientific knowledge and educational practices.
I conducted regular curriculum mapping to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment within the
department and across grade levels.
My biggest achievement was making all science and math lessons PowerPoint slides which make the pupil passionate to learn outside of his usual class atmosphere.
Also, I diagnosed dyslexic pupils and helped them to achieve their goals and go in beyond their capacity and move further by developing their hidden skills and talents and feeling that they are unique and not different.
