I tutor the student in detail and double check whether he/she has grasped the concept by asking her a similar problem to solve. When it is Math, I start with the grassroots, and then proceed to the next higher level. When it is Science, I explain the content with first putting the scientific theory behind it. When it is Social Studies, I explain the content with it's historical foundation behind. And when it is English, I make the student grasp the idea by teaching them the grammatical structures behind the whole concept
