I am engineering students whoes been playing guitar since 6 years old and have been teaching for the past 6 years. I believe students should learn their favourite songs from the first day itself and side by side should learn theory instead of starting theory from day (as it becomes a little boring for the student itself) Focusing on what the students want is the priority from day one.
I also teach trinity courses and do online and offline classes both.Not only that I believe if a student is learning guitar he should have music knowledge of all the other instruments
