I have a great passion for teaching and it is a very stimulating experience for me. But teaching is an art and a teacher should know how to make it attractive, interesting and informative for the students. As a student, I have observed that the best teachers were those who cared the most about teaching. Learning to be an excellent teacher is a career-long undertaking, because a great teacher is never a finished product but rather is always in the process of becoming. This passion is one of the single most important components of effective teaching as it leads to thorough preparation, continuous evolution of teaching skills, and the pleasure of watching students learn.
To ameliorate my teaching skills, I earned a Teaching qualification in UK, Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practices in Higher Education (PGCERT). Currently, I am Fellow of Higher Education. In my Bachelor and Master’s program, I majored in Chemistry and thereafter, I carried out research work in the field of Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology. Therefore, I am comfortable in teaching subjects related to both the fields and falling in interdisciplinary area. I have 25 years of teaching experience and taught Science, Biology, Chemistry & Biotechnology subjects to school children (A level), undergraduate and postgraduate students in India and UK. If an opportunity is given to me, I can promise that I will prove as Best Teacher.
