I am Trisha Banlasan, a self-taught versatile visual artist who has been honing my skills since childhood, and a Science pre-service teacher from the Philippines, currently studying in my 3rd year of Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Science Cebu Normal University-Main Campus, one of the most excellent schools in the Philippines.

In regards to my artistic field, I constantly practice and create artworks, and manage an active page on various social media platforms showcasing my work to people around the world who want to learn, and appreciate arts. Moreover, I also do offer freelance services such as painting, drawing, sketching, mural painting, and graphic designs. I am also active in participating various art contest in the Philippines as well as international level with different medium utilize- graphite, charcoal, poster paint, acrylic, watercolor, colored pencil, etc. Additionally, I established a small business specializing in keychain lettering and painting, as well as glass paintings, which I display it at different school events in Cebu City. As an artist, I believes that life is short, so one should be versatile, explore different fields, and be a lifelong learner because learning never cease.

Apart from being a versatile individual, I am also passionate in teaching with both young and adult learners. With my strong foundation in technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge that I gained during my current bachelor’s degree study, I have effectively acquired valuable skills and insights in differentiated instruction, classroom management, and fostering a positive learning environment tailored to meet the diverse needs of students. As an aspiring teacher, I do have a philosophy in education that is to have a student- centered learning approach and employ law of repetition, which emphasizes the effectiveness of repeating key ideas to enhance comprehension, and enduring understanding.

Along with my various teaching training active involvements, seminars, and experience as a student teacher, it has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of effective teaching. These experiences have prepared me for the classroom with the best teaching practices and greatly improved my patience, organization, and creativity skills that a teacher should acquire. I am confident that my dedication can positively impact the excellent teaching and learning process while fostering student’s educational development and ensuring they reach their academic potential, as well as contribute to the betterment of school/company.

Other than from acquiring outstanding field in arts and teaching, as a student I also shown academic excellence in my studies as I consistently top in my class since in my primary levels up to high school, garnered 95 average grade. In in my senior high years, I graduated as high honor which is equivalent to 96 grade. In my current bachelor's degree, I awarded as Dean's Lister. These achievement not only shown my dedication in studying but also reflects my character as an individual that I have value a growth mindset, strive to cultivate lifelong learner whose equipped with the skills and knowledge to succeed in an ever-evolving world, and influence improvement.
