"Practice makes perfect" are words I stand by, I believe that with the proper instruction, any student have the ability to excel. Students require content that resonates with their livelihood and interests as basic encouragement to read. There are many methods that I implement while tutoring such as rich explicit vocabulary instruction. I also create activities that engages with the student's mind, all while teaching them, mainly to build their vocabulary. With respect to maths, by breaking down the reasons or explaining the logic behind each formula, I hope to assist the students in memorisation by allowing their brain to use associative memory, that is associating the formula with something they interact with daily. Furthermore, the more students get practice with the topic, the more they are able to do it. Additionally, I intend to do the same with biology, which is a subject that mainly requires one to have strong memorisation skills. The use of multiple diagrams and hands on experiments will aid in the students' comprehension of the topic, seeing that humans have the natural ability to learn through figuring things out, utilising their senses.
