My name is Mowlid Mohamed Shuriye. I am a broadcast journalist with over 8 years of practical experience and currently the head of news and programs at Star FM.
If you are interested in learning radio journalism,basic Kiswahili /English and English-Somali translation on a part-time or online basis from a tutor who values your time, commitment and aspiration to succeed, feel welcome.
I do not judge students based on their country of origin, accent or comprehension capability.
I fully understand that it is my duty to make the lesson content understood.
I have done a three-year diploma course in broadcast journalism at Kenya Institute of Mass Communication (KIMC) and Bachelor of Arts in mass media and communication at Mount Kenya University.
My application is driven by the desire to impart knowledge being confident that I have the knowledge, skills and experience to help your students excel in all aspects of radio journalism such as scripting, news gathering and reporting, interviewing, audio editing, developing program ideas, program presentation, media law and ethics, translation among others.
I am a self-motivated, disciplined, honest, time conscious, hardworking, flexible, creative, open to learn and result-oriented individual with high regard for professional accountability and performance-based merit.
Given the opportunity, I promise to perform assigned duties to the best of my ability to achieve educational objectives and targets.
