In the Indian skills industry, project monitoring and evaluation is an important part of addressing the unique regulatory, compliance and quality related needs of the industry. Deen Dayal Upadhayay Grameen Kaushal Yojana (DDU-GKY) has been an umbrella/core scheme of the government providing employment to 70% of the Below Poverty Line BPL/ rural candidates trained under the scheme. Women being 33% is also a huge incentive that this scheme holds. It has been a great learning and enlightening experience being able to watch, monitor and be a crucial part of this prestigious project initiated by the Government of India. The tasks performed by me included:
● Monitored the project / Project Implementing Agencies to ensure their compliance as per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) issued by the Government of India.
● Regularly conducted monthly quality control checks of the projects involved in the scheme
