I have been teaching for last 24 years and have taught both Indian as well as international boards .I ensure that my students are able to understand the complex concepts in a simple way so that they can produce proper answers as and when required. I always encourage my students to clarify their doubts. So my classes have always been interactive. They enhance their learning, understanding and ability to write good answers. The numericals are discussed with proper examples and practice worksheets are shared to reinforce learning.
Scaffolding for new learning is always done with the help of lectures or presentations.
In IB, my students have been able to draft relevant Research Questions. They are able to design a methodology for the same and come up with logical findings and evaluation of their experiment. So I am able to help them score fairly well in their IA as well.
I believe that this strategy has always worked for me and my students and they have been able to produce excellent results. I have had a world topper in IGCSE Chemistry.
