Experience
Lecturer in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics (May, 2017–Jun, 2021) at Harambee University Ethiopia
As a college lecturer in Economics and Mathematics, my experience has been both challenging and rewarding. In teaching Economics, I have had the opportunity to introduce students to the fundamental concepts of micro and macroeconomics, as well as to more advanced topics such as game theory and behavioral economics. I have enjoyed engaging students in lively discussions about current economic issues and encouraging them to think critically about the world around them. I have also had the privilege of mentoring students who are interested in pursuing careers in economics, helping them to develop their research skills and guiding them in their academic pursuits.
In teaching Mathematics, I have had the chance to help students overcome their fears and misconceptions about the subject. I have worked with students at all levels, from those who struggle with basic arithmetic to those who excel in advanced calculus. I have found it immensely satisfying to see students gain confidence in their mathematical abilities and to witness their progress over the course of a semester.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my job as a college lecturer has been the relationships I have built with my students. I have enjoyed getting to know them on a personal level, learning about their interests and aspirations, and supporting them in their academic journey. I have also had the privilege of collaborating with colleagues in my department, sharing ideas and resources to enhance the learning experience for our students.
Overall, my experience as a college lecturer in Economics and Mathematics has been fulfilling and enriching. I have learned a great deal from my students and colleagues, and I look forward to continuing to inspire and empower the next generation of scholars and thinkers
