Hello my name is Teacher Sally. I am 56 years old and come from South Africa and currently in Australia. I have been teaching English for four years now. I am qualified in Business Development and Sales Management for over 20 years in the oil and gas sector as well as the telecom sector. I have always been passionate about teaching the universal language of English but due to family commitments I had to put my dream on hold. I finally too a leap to change my career path when my two adult girls left home to emigrate to a new country. I started studying the TESOL/TEFL online course which I completed and attained the certificate. I took up teaching underprivileged children and adults in Nigeria for the last four years and it has been the most rewarding and fulfilling career seeing their faces light up when they understand a passage in a story and is able to recite it back. I thereafter left Nigeria to join my children in Australia where I am still passionate about teaching online. I make sure that every class is fun and meaningful for children and adults. I love baking and cooking, some say I should change my career path to being a chef, so my free time is taken up catering for small intimate home dinner parties. I love going to the gym especially my dance classes. When it comes to my teaching style, I take a student-centre approach and I make sure that my students never get bored of learning English. I can be fun and animated with my younger learners and for the adult students, I am like a friend helping you achieve your learning goals. I share practical tips and advice to keep you motivated as you improve your English proficiency. I guarantee that my classroom is a great place to be learning English and will always be excited and memorable.
