20 Years: Shaping Speakers, Writers, and Personalities with Expertise

Do you want to be a good communicator?

Good communicators must be able to speak in the same way that they write. If we can write well, we should also be able to speak well. Both are important, not only to survive in this competitive world but also to excel and thrive. I can help you with both. 

I have an odd combination of a BA in mass communication and an MA in spirituality. The unusual blend has made my life very interesting and has taken me along the path of character formation, personality development, and spiritual growth. And for that, my skills in spoken and written English have served me well throughout the years.

I have been a full-time values education teacher for higher classes since 2008 at a CMI school. On the fringes of my main duties, I have been training children in public speaking and writing compositions. With my experience, I can help young people and adults write and speak good, internationally-acceptable English. My content is not random. It is value-based and tailored to fit the individual needs of students. It's a good way not only to harness communication skills but also to enhance values that can make them better human beings.

Experience

  • Director, Campus Ministry Office (Sep, 1997–May, 2005) at Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Philippines
    As the director of campus ministry from 1997 to 2005, I oversaw Eucharistic services and organized spiritual recollections and retreats for students. These activities aimed to deepen students' faith and personal spirituality, with one-day sessions for lower years and more intensive three-day retreats for graduating students, fostering inner peace and renewed purpose.

    I also facilitated spiritual formation sessions for faculty and staff, integrating spirituality into their professional and personal lives. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role was conducting one-on-one discernment and spiritual direction sessions. In these sessions, I acted as a soul companion, accompanying individuals on their spiritual journeys, offering guidance, support, and a listening ear. These sessions were deeply personal and allowed me to witness the transformative power of spirituality in people's lives.
