I am Thamodi Liyanage, a graduate from the Department of Food Science & Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. I am delighted & proud to introduce myself as a product of the Number 1 University in the country, according to the Times Higher Education Rankings. As a Food Science graduate, numerous areas of the field have been explored by me such as food chemistry, food microbiology, food preservation, post-harvest technology, principles of human nutrition, food nutrition, product development, food safety, animal products processing etc. Additionally, I have followed courses related to waste management, insect pests of crops, economics, business creation & management & social studies like principles of human behavior. Having followed a full-time degree conducted in English, I am quite proficient in English & have also followed two courses in Coursera (Getting Started with Essay Writing, Grammar and Punctuation) as a means of improving my writing skills. They were quite helpful in writing articles for the Society of Food Science & Technology,UoP social media page. Other than that, I am a registered member of the Industrial Services Bureau, having followed a training program in Food Hygiene & Quality Assurance. Moreover, I am currently studying Certificate in Business Accounting (CIMA BA), having completed exams on Fundamentals of Management Accounting (score:107/150) & Fundamentals of Business Economics (score: 130/150). Therefore, with all these qualifications, I am currently searching for an internship & intending to extend my support for the completion of student assignments, as a part-time employment.
