I’m someone who takes great pride in improving any student that is under my stewardship. I’m also extremely friendly which makes it easier for students to approach me when they need help. With a deep understanding of my students, I tailor my approach to instil confidence in them. Patience is my virtue, recognizing that everyone learns at their own pace. I foster an environment where seeking help is embraced. I’m extremely proud that I managed to help a friend I went I school with improving his marks from being at 50%-60% to 60%-75%. I’m also proud that when I was at school, I managed to improve my marks from mediocre to exceptional due to the research I did to help me improve. Since I have been at the University of Cape Town I have met other tutors who have helped me improve my tutoring skills tremendously. I have also had more experience in more difficult content which asks questions to really test your understanding of the work and I use this to best prepare my students for success.
