Over the years of teaching, I have realised that not one style of teaching works with each child. Also, I have realised that children need teachers who make time to know them and find the right way to teach them.

Being abreast with the Montessori methods of teaching and also how to patiently educate a child to normalisation, I believe that my ability to meet the needs of all learning styles like kinaesthetic, auditory, visual, reading and writing, and more makes it easier for students I come into contact with to excel.

I currently have a student who is doing tremendous in school in just a month of our class starting. He used to have challenges in reading. However, going back to the basics with the right blends and also helping him understand the different vowel sounds (long and short), how they sound in words, the different special sounds, etc has unearthed a love for reading in him, while he hated reading before I started tutoring him.

I don't believe in magic, I believe in knowing the child and finding the right methods that can help him or her acquire the right knowledge without feeling stressed. That makes the difference.

    Since I started with One Heart Africa Academy in Wast Legon, I have had the chance to teach Preschool, K4, K5, and Grade 1 and 2 all at different times.

    Currently, I teach Kindergarten 4 which is an exciting experience for me. Since the Abeka American Curriculum is used in OHAA, my duty is to plan daily lessons and make sure all resources needed are provided to teach children accordingly.

    With my Montessori and Educational Psychology experience, I infuse different learning methods to make sure no child is lacking in my class.
