Noor is a graduate of Queen Mary University, London, with an LL.B. Hons. degree. She also holds an LL.M. degree from City University, London, where she also obtained her qualification of Bar-at-law. She is licensed as an Advocate of the High Courts of Pakistan with 6 years of experience in litigation. Noor has extensive experience handling contentious and non-contentious matters. Prior to her independent practice, Noor worked at Asma Hamid Associates. Noor’s practice is primarily comprised of tax, corporate, and civil law. Before moving to Lahore, Noor worked at a leading chamber in Karachi with Mr. Khawaja Shamsul Islam, Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan, appearing before multiple forums situated in Karachi and other cities of the province of Sindh in relation to civil, criminal, family, and constitutional matters. She possesses a special interest in human rights and international law, along with a strong inclination to pursue international criminal litigation and represent Pakistan on international forums. Currently, Ms. Noor serves on the Legal Panel for Karachi Port Trust (Maritime Sector). Noor’s work encompasses research, drafting, litigation, and legal advisory on criminal (including bail), family (involving custody of children and declaration of inheritance, domestic violence), human rights, tax, civil, and corporate matters. Prior to coming to Pakistan, Noor was selected by Queen Mary University, UK, to work with a team of lawyers at the Legal Advice Center, which provided free legal advice to the public on property and land matters. Noor has also temporarily worked part-time at Times PBS in London, headquartered in Dubai, UAE. The work involved assisting senior barristers and solicitors with appeals, research, and correspondence with the Home Office on cases involving victims of terrorism, asylum seekers, and refugees. Noor is also a member of the All-Pakistan Women’s Association and the Young Legal Aid Lawyers (UK). Having successfully navigated complex legal landscapes in numerous legal areas throughout her distinguished career, Noor is keen to use her understanding of criminal, constitutional, tax, international human rights, civil law and different legal courses for helping and guiding students across the world.
