My techniques in teaching is focused on determining the student's weaknesses and putting efforts to mitigating them. Sometimes the problem is not solely on the subject, so I am also open to assisting students in building good study habits. Although the subjects I normally teach are those where I am good at, I have always been able to determine where my students get lost especially in problems requiring lengthy solutions. Math subjects normally require practice to master, contrary to common belief that it is only for smart people. For professional engineering subjects such as structural theory, engineering mechanics, geotechnical engineering, reinforced concrete design, steel design, etc., this requires imagination especially on how frames, foundation, and soil behave under different loading conditions. My role in the learning process is to guide students from mastering the concepts to mastering common problems which may come in handy in acing exams.
Learning is a process we all go through and I am always passionate in helping others who find difficulty in navigating study life. I am also open to suggestions and discussions to maximize the students' potentials.
